Organizing a Book Donation Drive for Rural Schools

I organized a book donation drive at my school last month to collect books for rural students who don’t have many reading materials. I put up posters and placed donation boxes in each classroom. I asked my classmates to donate storybooks, textbooks, and picture books they no longer needed. At first, the boxes were empty, but after I gave a speech in the morning assembly, more and more students brought books. In two weeks, we collected over 500 books. My dad helped me send the books to a primary school in Yunnan. We received a thank-you video from the school— the kids were so happy to hold the new books. Organizing this drive taught me leadership. I learned that when people work together, we can help those in need.
