Making Handmade Scented Candles with Dried Flowers

I made handmade scented candles with dried flowers last weekend. I used soy wax, lavender essential oil, and dried rose petals. First, I melted the wax in a pot, then added the essential oil and stirred. I poured the mixture into glass jars and put a wick in each. I sprinkled dried rose petals on top. We let the candles cool for two hours. When they hardened, they looked beautiful and smelled like fresh lavender and roses. I gave one to my teacher; she said it made her classroom cozy. Making these candles taught me to use natural materials. It’s a relaxing craft that creates lovely gifts for friends and family.
