Learning to Write a Letter to My Pen Pal
I have a pen pal named Luca from Italy. My teacher taught me to write a proper letter to him. First, I wrote the date and his address. I started with “Dear Luca,” then talked about my school—we had a sports day last week, and I won the long jump. I asked him about his hobbies and his favorite food. I drew a small picture of my dog at the end. My mom helped me put a stamp on the envelope and mail it. Two weeks later, I got a letter from him. He told me he plays soccer and loves pizza. He drew a picture of the Colosseum. Writing letters taught me to communicate. I learned that sending a letter is more special than sending a text.
